Dr Henri Timmers

Henri Timmers (1971) graduated as M.D. (1997) and Ph.D. (2004) at the Radboud University Nijmegen and the Academic Medical Centre, Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Both degrees we obtained cum laude.  His Ph.D. thesis was entitled Denervation of carotid baro- and chemoreceptors in humans. He specialized in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology at the Radboud University Medical Centre. In 2006-2009 he worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at the National Institutes of Health (Reproductive and Adult Endocrinology Program, NICHD, Bethesda MD, United States). His current position is associate professor at the Department of Medicine, section of Endocrinology, at the Radboud University Medical Centre. He is member of the steering committees of the European Network for the Study of Adrenal Tumors (ENS@T) and the international  Pheochromocytoma and Paraganglioma Research Support Organization (PRESSOR). His principle clinical and scientific focus is on adrenal tumors, especially pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma.
